A southern soul from Taipei, Wenning graduated from NTUA with a Bachlors in Dance. A person full of curiosity and passionate towards body-related performances and choreography. As an enthusiast of still photography, she is naturally influenced by how the lens of photography and performance can be intertwined. With a fearless heart Wenning is open to opportunities within the broad parameters of the term ‘performance’. With experience in site specific and traditional theater spaces Wenning’s most notable work has worked alongside Punchdrunk, Mauvais Chausson Dance Theater, Belgium Need Company along with independent artists Jan Lauwers, Shu-Yi Chou, and Wang Yu-Kuang.

Cast / Choreographer: PUNCHDRUNK, Sleep No More Shanghai 
During her time with Punchdrunk, Wenning has performed several roles within the company. During this time, she was exposed to the tools Punchdrunk used to navigate audience experiences within immersive performances. Being given the opportunity to choreograph Sleep No More’s 5-year anniversary, she had the chance to blend her individual creative endeavors within an immersive landscape.

2018
Performer / Choreographer:  American Dance Festival, Good
Wenning was offered the privilege of a sponsorship by the Ministry of Culture to the American Dance Festival. It was an international choreographic residency where Wenning developed and perform the trio ‘Good’.

2017
Performer / Co-Director: Need Company, The Time Between Two Mistakes
Wenning was invited to perform and cocreate Need dance company’s work “The Time between Two Mistakes” for their Taipei version in the Taiwan International Festival of the Arts.

2014 – Present:
Hand | 2 | ㄍㄨㄟ (Turtle)
As an independent artist Wenning began her first choreographic solo project ‘Hand’ at the age of 18. This lead the development for her duet work ‘2’ being selected as a part of Beijing Dance Festival, and her eventual nomination for her work ‘ㄍㄨㄟ (Turtle)’ for a Taishin Art Award
